Individual Psychotherapy
John provides assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy for a range of psychological problems, and meets the high standards set by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). In collaboration with clients, he works to understand more deeply the current difficulties clients are facing, and to find more flexible, adaptive, and effective ways to manage them. Using several therapeutic approaches including EMDR (trauma focused therapy), Compassion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness based interventions, a treatment plan is developed to assist clients to better regulate difficult emotions and feelings, find more contentedness in their relationships, and ultimately establish a more enduring sense of well-being.
